Our Mission
The mission of South Tampa Fellowship Day School is to nurture children in God’s love and guide them to live as authentic followers of Jesus.
Our Vision
At STF Day School, our desire is to help children build a strong foundation in Christ. We want every child to grow in their understanding that even the youngest among us need Jesus, and we point them to Him as the center of all we do. In our classrooms, children will discover a love for learning through developmentally appropriate academics, build important social and emotional skills, and experience the joy of knowing and following Jesus in their everyday lives. Our goal is to partner with families to nurture hearts, minds, and spirits for God’s glory.
Our Philosophy
At STF Day School, we believe that every child is uniquely created and deeply loved by God. Our mission is to nurture children in God’s love and guide them to live as authentic followers of Jesus. We are committed to providing a Christ-centered learning environment where children can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
We believe young children learn best through play, and meaningful relationships. Through hands-on learning experiences, children develop curiosity, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Our classrooms are intentionally designed to encourage active engagement and independence while supporting each child’s individual stage of development.
Our approach balances developmentally appropriate, play-based learning with purposeful instruction. Children participate in hands-on activities, center-based learning, small-group instruction, outdoor play, and guided experiences that build foundational skills in language, literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. We recognize that children learn in different ways and strive to create opportunities for every child to experience success.
As a ministry of South Tampa Fellowship, our faith is woven throughout every aspect of the school day. Children learn about God’s love through daily Bible lessons, prayer, worship, Scripture memory, and weekly chapel experiences. Biblical truths are integrated into classroom instruction and daily interactions, helping children develop a biblical worldview and understand their identity as children of God.
To support both spiritual and academic growth, STF Day School utilizes the Experience God Preschool Curriculum for Bible instruction and BJU Press Early Childhood Curriculum for academic learning. These resources provide a strong educational foundation while presenting all subjects through a biblical worldview. We believe that truth is found in God’s Word and that faith and learning are naturally connected.
We value the partnership between home and school and believe parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. By working together, we seek to create a nurturing community where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow into all God has created them to be.
